Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Why is BGT so big?
A: Many of the areas I had to alter manually, removing the green pixels BG1 used for water overlays. In short, because I had to modify almost EVERYTHING from BG1.

Q: Where can I download BGT?
A: See the downloads section.

Q: TotSC after killing Sarevok? Are you nuts?
A: Possibly. Durlag's Tower is a high-level (for BG1) dungeon, and it always bothered me how it had NOTHING to do with the game's plot. Now it does, kinda.

Q: Why should I download BGT?
A: It's the Bhaalspawn saga from start to end in one blow. Plus it uses the superior BG2 engine.

Q: It's too big for me to download!
A: Well size is a concern, I know. If you can't download it, you can either send me some money in the mail for a CD-R copy of the Mark-III installer, or check out BG1Tutu.

Q: BG1Tutu, what's that?
A: It's a smaller program with the goal of playing BG1 with the BG2 engine. Not the same, but it might be what you're looking for.

Q: If DSotSC is installed, will BGT have DSotSC in it?
A: No, DSotSC is not included with BGT. I apologize, but the infamous BG1 Mod is not included/integrated.

Q: So, what EXACTLY does BGT get me?
A: A full beginning-to-end version of the Bhaalspawn Saga without importing/exporting characters with BG2.

Q: So, then is it worth it?
A: To quote lost astronaut John Crichton... "Yes. No. Maybe." It depends on what you are looking for, what you are willing to settle for, and how much hassle you can put up with ; ) It's definitely fun to see some of the new things, and make fun of my additions to the game, so I'd recommend it.
